On Demand Webinars
Life is busy. We see opportunities for learning and development popping up on our socials, great webinars that we would love to attend, topics of interest that we would like to delve into, but we just don’t have the time!
For those of us for whom time is precious and limited, but want to keep learning, I will be pre-recording some of my popular webinars and training content. Each will last no more than 1 hour and can be ‘dipped into’ in short blasts at a time that suits you.
Once you have purchased the webinar, it’s yours to keep.
Have a browse through some of the upcoming topics. If there are specific areas of interest that you would like us to focus on, send in your suggestions to hello@regulatedchild.co.uk
Time is no longer a barrier to regulation.

Why is it that sometimes my child does what I ask without any problem, then the following day when I request the same thing, they completely flip their lid? It’s so frustrating, I feel like they are just “at it” trying to manipulate every situation to suit themselves.
What we need to remember is that our child is just that, a child. Their brain is still under construction and their stress response system is vulnerable. Every day presents a new set of stressors which impact on how our child responds to our reasonable demands.
For children who have experienced developmental trauma or those who are neurodivergent, this is even more prevalent.
If we understand our child’s unique window of tolerance we can identify when they are inside their window allowing them to engage and learn. It also means that we can offer them the compassion and support they need when they have moved outside their window.
Having an awareness of what helps your child to stay inside their window, and what to do when they slip outside, provides you with the knowledge and skills in supporting them to develop resilience and regulation when the going gets tough.
During this webinar we will:
Explore our child’s brain body connection and experience the world through their eyes.
Identify possible stressors that may cause our child to “flip their lid.”
Uncover our child’s window of tolerance and what we can do to help them stay within it.
Explore what our child needs when they have slipped outside of their window.
Consider our own window of tolerance and how it impacts on how we respond.

Children are born wired to connect. Their experiences prebirth and during the first few years of their life cannot be explicitly remembered but have a profound effect on their physical, emotional, and cognitive development, as well as shaping their future health and wellbeing.
This webinar will explore how our children develop different styles of attachment based on their early relational experiences, what they need to thrive and how we can reduce stress and nurture resilience through attuned relationships.
Key learning:
• How early relationships impact on a child’s biology
• Understanding different attachment styles
• The importance of noticing and responding to cues while also owning our mistakes
• Intentionally offering play, love, acceptance, curiosity and empathy to build relationships

Children who are exposed repeatedly to situations that that place them in a state of fear or terror without the buffer of a safe adult, experience trauma. This trauma alters how their brain processes information and how their nervous system responds. By understanding the impact of developmental trauma on a child’s body and brain we can provide them with the experiences they need to heal.
This webinar will explore some of the causes of developmental trauma and what our child may be experiencing internally. We will look beyond behaviour considering what we can do to bring our child to a place of felt safety.
Key learning:
• Understanding adverse childhood experiences
• Exploring how toxic stress changes our child’s biology
• The core developmental capabilities that are impacted by developmental trauma
• What our child needs to heal

We use our senses to understand what is going on around us as well as inside of us. For most children developing the capacity to process this information happens naturally but for others the sensory feedback is completely overwhelming or just not enough. This causes them to respond in ways that filter out or absorb sensations to get them back to state that feels tolerable and safe.
This webinar will explore how our child’s body processes sensory information and what their sensory preferences are. We will explore what sensory experiences we can provide our child with to enable their system to ‘speed up’ or ‘slow down’ so that they feel ‘just right’.
Key learning:
• Sensory processing, what it is and how it develops
• Understanding the 8 senses and the role they play in regulation
• Creating a sensory profile
• Creating a sensory diet to soothe our child’s nervous system
